Dorit Kemsley after her robbery: ‘I know this is very serious, and it’s much more serious than just jewelery’

Los Angeles police released images of late “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Dorit Kemsley taken before she was attacked by a woman in her home.

The woman reportedly entered the home through an unlocked back door early Monday and stole jewelry, including a Cartier watch and a Chanel purse. The Los Angeles Times reports that Dorit, who Bravo describes as the former wife of “Quarterlife” actor Tom Schwartz, was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center after the robbery and is recovering from injuries including a broken nose.

Two of the show’s co-stars, Brandi Glanville and Kyle Richards, arrived at Dorit’s home Tuesday night to support her.

Kemsley’s mother-in-law, Lorraine Schwartz, also was seen for the first time since the attack. Afterward, she talked to reporters about the thieves.

“They tried to smash her windows,” Schwartz said. “Apparently she pushed a little girl out of the way, but that’s what I’m learning right now. They took jewelry, but that wasn’t the specific reason for the burglary. They took jewelry and left.”

Police have released security footage, which has the woman wearing a metallic sweater with long sleeves and dark sunglasses. As for the Tiffany watch, Schwartz said she doesn’t think it’s hers, but the timepiece is part of the property he had accumulated.

“If it is hers, she will return it,” Schwartz said. “She’s very compassionate. I know this is very serious, and it’s much more serious than just jewelery. She is fine and she is looking forward to getting back to work on Friday. She’s known the exact person all along and she’s fine with it.”

Richards is seen coming home to take her to a hospital after the incident. Before the interview, Glanville posted a photo of the two with the caption: “The Sweetest NICU Mom in L.A. x I love my girls!”

Kemsley’s husband, Tom, posted a message to Twitter that night, asking the thief to return the items.
